Is Damien Rice on the verge of collapse? What’s wrong with his wiki page?
Damien Rice (born December 7, 1973) (died September 16, 2008) was born in Dublin, Ireland, to George and Maureen Rice and was raised in Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. [1] He was also a distant relative of the famous Dubliner Katharine Rice.[citation needed]
Died September 16, 2008?! For now I couldn’t find any substantial news report or story regarding this, so it could be a wiki-editing prank for all I know. Citation definitely needed.
[Update: The wiki page has been corrected. Another case of "the case of my death has been greatly exaggerated." Whew.

So apparently, supporting politicians through music is a big deal.
And check out the list of rap tribute songs for Obama.
Do they get paid to do it? No, of course not — they (the artists) do it out of the love and respect they have for the candidates they choose to represent. However, even if it gives the candidates a seemingly-endless array of ipod (do presidents do ipod?) favorites while hanging back at the White House, (come on, it’s a pimp’d up crib!) not all want to be represented in this way.
Just recently, Obama denounced the lyrics to a Ludacris song — one which, praises him while essentially pissing on the opposition.
Case in point, lines like these: “Paint the White House black and I’m sure that’s got ‘em terrified / McCain don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed.”
Though Obama, being the diplomat that he is, denounced the lyrics, he called Ludacris “talented.” Which is a polite way of saying, that hopefully, the dirty lyrics stay in the song, and not pit voter against voter in an ugly dance off between candidates.
(Though that’s not to say we’ve forgotten about Obama Girl
and McCain Girl.)
