Although I tend to agree that any talk of continued war and threats from terrorists is definitely a downer, actually the economy is the biggest factor of concern to the voting public today, whether they care to admit it or not. My simple point is, being a Korean Conflict veteran, and the fiasco of Viet Nam contributing to the number of losses suffered by America, aren’t we overdue to Win one to possibly get back some modicum of respect from the rest of the world? The mid-east problem is not going to go away if we bail out too early, and probably will escalate if we walk away ignoring all the sacrifices endured so far to the point where we might have to rattle nuclear scabbards to incur surcease. Change is definitely much needed, and whoever gets into the White House is going to have to start helping our own country out first! Fix the economy, and THEN try fixing the rest of the world!
